Once you've been migrated to the new Office 365 email service, you'll need to make changes to your mobile devices in order to access your email and calendars.

If you already access your UWA mail on your device, you'll need to remove your existing account.

If you're setting up a new device, or if you haven't configured your device to access your UWA email, you can jump straight to setting up your Office 365 UWA email.

Remove your existing UWA email account

If you've already got your UWA email account set up on your android device, you'll need to remove it. If you're setting up a new device, you can skip this step and browse straight to the Setup Guide.

Different devices running the Android operating system behave slightly differently, so the steps below might not be exactly the same for your device.

Step 1

Navigate to your device's Settings screen, and select Accounts:

Select Exchange from the list:

Select your account:

Tap on the ellipses in the top right:

Select Remove Account:

Once you've removed the account from your device, you can proceed to the Setup Guide below.

 

Set up your Office 365 UWA email account

Once you've removed your existing UWA email account (or if you're setting up a new device), you can add your Office 365 UWA email account by following the steps below.

 

Step 1

Navigate to your device's Settings screen, and select Accounts:

Select the Add account option:

Select Exchange from the list:

Type in your full UWA email address (i.e. firstname.lastname@uwa.edu.au), and tap Next:

Type in your password, and tap Next:

You'll be presented with the server settings screen; change the Domain\Username to yourstaffnumber@uwa.edu.au  and the Server field to outlook.office365.com as shown in the right-hand image below, then tap Next:

Tap on OK to activate remote administration:

Tap on Activate this device administrator:

Setup is now complete - you can choose a different account name if you wish. Click Next, and you're done!
